Splashwire has named Drew Hufford as technology advisor. Hufford previously held technology consulting positions at Lancaster-based Aspire Ventures and a number of firms in Aspire’s portfolio of healthcare IT companies.

“Hiring Drew is another milestone as we bring our bold vision for Splashwire to life,” said Splashwire President and CEO Josh Hinkle. “Drew has a wide range of IT experience and expertise, particularly in the healthcare sector. During the past decade, he helped a variety of healthcare IT companies in our region get off the ground. He has managed complex IT implementations and projects for facilities throughout the country. We are excited to welcome Drew as we expand our team’s capabilities to transform how technology is consumed and experienced.”

In his new role as technology advisor, Hufford will provide strategic planning and guidance to Splashwire’s clients for technology, infrastructure and applications. He also will provide IT solutions, design and project management services.

Hufford has more than 10 years of IT consulting experience. He previously was director of support and operations for Connexion Health, where he helped develop a smart kiosk that makes healthcare screenings more accessible and convenient. He also formerly was director of healthcare IT for Aspire Ventures and MedStatix, where he led infrastructure builds, system integrations, HIPAA compliance and electronic medical record initiatives.

Hufford earned his bachelor’s degree in information technology from Juniata College.

Splashwire is organized around four core services areas: consulting (system integration, migrations, implementation and operational support), solutions (converged architecture, visualization, networking, wireless and locally hosted solutions), security (Security as a Service, compliance, monitoring, incident response and disaster recovery) and communication (business-class Internet and telecommunications solutions).

The company also places an emphasis on C-suite services including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) services, an option for organizations that need top-tier IT security expertise and guidance on an ongoing basis; and business intelligence services, which turn raw business data into meaningful and actionable insights.

Formerly operating as 2K Networking, the company rebranded as Splashwire in June 2018. In January, the company announced that Hinkle, previously its director of business development and strategic initiatives, acquired the company and assumed the role of president and CEO.

While Splashwire is well-versed in the complexities of healthcare IT, the firm also has depth of experience in other sectors including education, government, manufacturing and non-profit.

2K Networking Rebrands as Splashwire

Splashwire Inc. — Information Technology Support & Solutions2K Networking Inc. today announced that the firm has rebranded as Splashwire. The brand change symbolizes a new era for the privately owned company, which began operating under new ownership and leadership earlier this year.

“Much has changed since the company started in 2000,” said Josh Hinkle, the company’s president and CEO. “Not just technology itself, but what businesses and their customers expect from technology. With the launch of our new brand identity, we are zeroing in with laser focus on two things: simplifying how technology is consumed and enhancing how technology is experienced. Those are the drivers that will define how Splashwire solves our clients’ challenges and meets the expectations of their customers, employees and leadership teams.”

As Splashwire, the company is organizing around four core services areas: consulting (system integration, migrations, implementation and operational support), solutions (converged architecture, visualization, networking, wireless and locally hosted solutions), security (Security as a Service, compliance, monitoring, incident response and disaster recovery) and communication (business-class Internet and telecommunications solutions).

Under its new brand, the company also is placing a greater emphasis on C-suite services including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) services, an option for organizations that need top-tier IT security expertise and guidance on an ongoing basis; and business intelligence services, which turn raw business data into meaningful and actionable insights.

The new brand identity also conveys a cultural shift at the company.

“As a brand, the name 2K was suggestive of the past,” Hinkle said. “But we’re not on the cusp of the new century, we’re in it. And as a company, we’re not looking back; our focus is on what’s ahead. Culturally, our team of technology advisors, engineers and support specialists are committed to a new era of growth together and to collectively leading with the strength of our capabilities. Splashwire is the fresh new identity under which we are boldly pursuing that future.”

In January, the company announced that Hinkle, previously its director of business development and strategic initiatives, acquired the company and assumed the role of president and CEO.

While Splashwire serves clients nationally, it also takes an interest in supporting technology-related ventures close to home, particular projects that enhance the visibility and economic vitality of the Central Pennsylvania region.

For example, the company has signed on to provide in-kind technology support for the newly opened Smart Health Innovation Lab located in downtown Lancaster. Smart Health Innovation Lab is an accelerator for healthcare technologies where technology companies, payors and providers work together to validate and integrate innovations into the healthcare marketplace.

Splashwire is well-versed in the complexities of healthcare IT, but also has depth of experience in other sectors including education, government, manufacturing and non-profit.

The company also is a partner of leading technology and information security brands including Aerohive Networks, Barracuda, Cisco, Datto, Dell EMC, Microsoft, Quest, SonicWall, Veeam and WMware.

2K Partners with Smart Health Innovation Lab

Smart Health Innovation Lab2K Networking Inc. today announced it will provide in-kind technology support for the newly opened Smart Health Innovation Lab located in downtown Lancaster.

Specifically, 2K Networking will provide Smart Health Innovation Lab with networking and IT security management services. 2K Networking will leverage security services from SonicWall, the company’s security solutions partner.

Additionally, 2K Networking will collaborate with Smart Health Innovation Lab to develop a roadmap of technology solutions to scale up the facility’s technology capabilities as it grows.

Smart Health Innovation Lab, an accelerator for healthcare technologies, will support startup companies with a 12-week certification program during which they will work with technology, payor and clinical experts to validate their products and integrate them into clinical workflows. Startups will utilize various simulated environments at the lab’s facilities – including a pharmacy, hospital room, physical therapy gym, clinician’s office, and home environment – to demonstrate how their technologies impact cost, the patient and provider experience, and health outcomes.

“The newly opened Smart Health Innovation Lab and the startups it will host promise to break new ground in healthcare, improving both outcomes and the care experience,” said Josh Hinkle, president and CEO of 2K Networking. “2K Networking is pleased to provide technology infrastructure and connectivity that will help early-stage healthcare companies transform their innovations into market-ready products. As a company driven to simplify how technology is consumed, and enhance how technology is experienced, the Smart Health Innovation Lab aligns perfectly with our mission and our strengths. ”

The Smart Health Innovation Lab used a collaborative approach to equip the new facility. Everything from the simulated care environments to the conference rooms have been outfitted by companies and vendors that have sponsored the lab.

“As we built out the Smart Health Innovation Lab facilities, we sought out best-in-breed technologies and services that aligned with our mission,” said Kim Ireland, CEO of Smart Health Innovation Lab. “With 2K Networking’s support, our resident startups will have access to a state-of-the-art IT environment and top-tier technology solutions as they leverage our certification program to validate their innovations and streamline their path to market. We thank 2K Networking for playing a key role in the Smart Health Innovation Lab’s larger goal of lowering healthcare costs, enhancing the patient and provider experience, and improving outcomes.”

In January, 2K Networking announced that Hinkle, previously the company’s director of business development and strategic initiatives, acquired the company and assumed the role of president and CEO.

Among the areas of growth Hinkle envisions for 2K Networking are what’s known in the industry as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) services, Business Intelligence services and Top-Tier Data Center services, which the firm hosts locally in Harrisburg and in Denver, Colorado.

2K Networking also is well-versed in the complexities that impact healthcare IT. The company provides healthcare organizations with services ranging from network management to data protection to disaster recovery, as well as integration with key platforms such as electronic medical record and practice management platforms.

Hinkle joined 2K Networking in 2014. He has more than 20 years of strategic planning, operational and technology integration experience.

He also previously was chief operating officer for York-based Healthcare System Connections; chief information officer and security officer for Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania, where his accountabilities included HIPPA privacy compliance; and national head of data center, network and information security for the American Heart Association, where he was responsible for managing the organization’s enterprise-wide technology infrastructure as well as PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance.

With Josh’s vision and leadership, 2K is well positioned to help organizations stay on the leading edge of the ever-changing technology landscape.”

Hinkle said, “This is really a dream come true. Being part of the 2K Networking team and serving our clients has been tremendously gratifying.
