Splashwire Expands to Meet Growing Demand for IT Services

LEMOYNE, Pa. — Splashwire, an information technology consulting and solutions company, today announced three new hires to meet a growing demand for its technology services.

David Barley has joined Splashwire as a systems engineer. Nate Laird and Scott McDowell have joined the company as support specialists. With a combined 33 years of experience, the new team members increase the company’s total number of employees to 15.

“Demand for Splashwire’s technology services is increasing, and we are excited to expand our company to meet it,” said Splashwire President and CEO Josh Hinkle. “David, Nate and Scott add a wealth of talent and experience to our team. As more businesses turn to us for technology support, particularly in the high-growth areas of locally hosted solutions and IT security services, we anticipate continued expansion in the months and years ahead.”

Barley has more than 14 years of experience in information technology, primarily within the financial and insurance industries. Among Barley’s areas of expertise is IT compliance as it relates to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) requirements. He earned his bachelor’s degree in networking communications management from DeVry University.

Laird started his 14-year career at York County 911, where he installed, maintained and supported in-vehicle computers for all police agencies in the county. He also previously was an IT consultant with Aspire Ventures in Lancaster. His expertise includes IT consulting; support services; and project planning, management and execution. Nate earned his associate’s degree in specialized business as a computer systems specialist from York Technical Institute.

McDowell previously spent more than five years as a systems technician for Fulton Financial Corporation. He holds certifications in A+ and Network +. He also has completed the Cisco Networking Academy and two VMware ICM (Install, Configure, Manage) courses through Stanley Community College. McDowell earned his associate’s degree in specialized business as a computer systems specialist from York Technical Institute.
